Check EXD Battery

Check EXD Battery

When Should I check my EXD Battery?

Ordinarilly, your EXD battery will last 6 months: the same time interval as your twice-yearly follow-up visits, which is when your EXD battery should also be replaced. Between visits though, we recommend that you check the condition of the EXD battery once every week.

How Do I check my EXD Battery?

To check battery power, press the button on your EXD. You do not need to hold the EXD near your IMD when you press the button.
  • If the battery is working, the EXD will make one very short beep (“chirp”) at the same time you press the button.
  • If the battery is not working, the EXD will not beep when you press the button. Call your doctor to replace the battery.

Move your mouse cursor over the animation to the right to practice checking the EXD battery.
