Ross Haghighat is the Executive Chairman of AngelMed. Ross is a serial entrepreneur, Board member, investor and venture capitalist, who brings over 30 years of experience to AngelMed.

Ross has been the founder or co-founder of dozen start ups, has taken 5 companies public, has helped transform a half dozen starts ups from early stage to successful global businesses across multiple disciplines. In his career, he has raised in excess of $2 Billion for his companies and has been a leading force that has helped to generate over $4.5B in shareholder value.

Ross currently serves as CEO of BIOS Corp. (Nasdaq: BIOS), a Nasdaq listed blank check company; is Chairman of Triton Systems, a leading technology incubator with a private equity investment arm; serves on the Board of Directors at Chinook Therapeutics (Nasdaq: KDNY), a late clinical-stage biotechnology company developing precision medicines for kidney diseases; Fluence Corporation Ltd. (ASX: FLC), a leading ESG global water treatment technology company; FRX Innovations (TSX:FRXI) where he serves as Chairman. Mr. Haghighat was also a co-founder of Sensera Corporation, a publicly listed entity acquired by AbioMed (Nasdaq: ABMD).

Mike Gillem is Chief Commercial Officer of AngelMed. The company’s flagship product, AngelMed Guardian®, is the world’s first and only FDA approved real-time implantable cardiac device to detect ACS events, including silent heart attacks.

Mike has over 29 years of medical device industry sales and sales management experience. His leadership and broad experience helped execute several new product launch strategies focusing on adoption and critical feedback for product improvements.

Prior to joining AngelMed, Mike served as Chief Commercial Officer for McGinley Orthopedics where he helped introduce new, innovative technology to Orthopedic Surgeons globally. Mike has held several senior level positions helping to bring new technologies to the market. Most notably was his early involvement with Foxhollow Technologies where his field execution and management leadership resulted in an explosive revenue ramp from 0 to 150m in sales in under 2 years leading to an IPO.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.

David has over 20 years of experience in the development and deployment of complex active cardiovascular implants. He was actively involved in the development of the AngelMed Guardian® system from the start and participated in the first in man implant in Brazil, and the first implants in the US and Germany.

Dave took over responsibility for the ALERTS Clinical Study in 2012 and then oversaw the analysis and reporting of efficacy and safety results for the PMA submission, including the amendment that led to FDA approval. Dave has a dozen patents related to medical devices and computer networking technologies.

Prior to AngelMed, Dave was a Director at Corente, Inc. (formally OpenReach), a leader in managed secure networks. At OpenReach, Dave managed the provisioning and support of networks in 40 countries. Before joining Corente, Dave spent 15 years at AT&T Bell Laboratories. During that time, Dave worked within the R&D team that created Ethernet over twisted pair wire. Dave traveled to over 44 countries during this period to support and troubleshoot network problems for AT&T and NCR. Prior to AT&T, Dave worked in R&D for Perkin Elmer Corporation on some of the world’s first 32-bit minicomputers, used to power state of the art military simulators. Dave’s first job after graduating from The Catholic University of America was in the Inhalation Toxicology Labs of Hazleton Laboratories in Reston, Virginia. This lab was the setting for the best seller “The Hot Zone” which chronicled the early discoveries associated with the ebola virus.

Sasha has 30 years of experience in statistical/ algorithmic assessment of biological signals, with a focus on clinical translation.

As Chief Scientific Officer, Sasha has been responsible for managing presentation and publication of ALERTS trial data, design and conduct of ALERTS post-approval studies, and conducting economic and quality-of-life assessment of the Guardian technology. Sasha has led AngelMed’s market access efforts including obtaining a Transitional Pass Through (TPT) payment from CMS in 2021. Sasha has successfully obtained NIH grant funding (Phase I/II/IIb) for R&D related to the Company’s next generation products and assisted in company innovation including management of its IP portfolio. Sasha’s background in clinical translation of medical technology includes creation of a neuroimaging-based hearing assessment technology (acquired by Bio-logic Systems Corp, now Natus) and closed-loop neurostimulation technology (licensed by Neuropace). He holds 100+ US patents and has served as an IP strategy consultant in the areas of neurostimulation, neuroimaging, wireless power transmission, renal nerve ablation, and medical wearables. He has lectured annually at University of Toronto since 2007 on commercialization of medical technology.

Sasha received a MSc. in Psychiatry from McGill University and PhD in Medical Science from University of Toronto.

Gregg Turi has more than 30 years of successful healthcare technology product design, development, and manufacturing transfer efforts. His background in product development includes extensive knowledge and experience with FDA and ISO related design controls.

Prior to joining AngelMed, he founded and led Chameleon Design Solutions, which was preceded by an 18-year tenure at Hi-tronics Designs, Inc., a subsidiary of St. Jude Medical. He holds 18 patents all around implantable medical devices.

He has been involved with the design and development of all AngelMed’s IMD and EXD products, from the initial animal studies through ALERTS trial, commercialization of the FDA approved Guardian System, and into development of its next-generation product.

Gregg received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from NJ Institute of Technology.
